13th Jun 1788 - ????
Nee Wright, widow of George Brooks (d. c. 1832), claiming the compensation for the enslaved people on the Blenheim estate in Manchester as executrix of George Brooks (the compensation was paid into a suit in the colonial courts) and very probably the same woman as the awardee under a second claim in Manchester.
Born 13/06/1788 and bapt. 13/01/1789, daughter of William Burt Wright and his wife Frances.
Her family bible, with her notes recording her marriage and her children's births, is described by Vere Langford Oliver. In it, she says that she arrived in England 12/06/1821. She was however apparently in Jamaica when she was served with a counterclaim by A. H.. Beaumont c. 1835.
