9th Jul 1799 - 23rd Aug 1855
Oliver Hering Gordon was the seventh son of John Gordon, of Stapleton Grove, Bristol, and Catherine Hering, eldest daughter of Julines Hering, Esq. of Heybridge.
The proximity of Oliver Hering Gordon’s brother George Gordon at Moor Park, St James, supports the identification of this person as the Oliver H. Gordon who was the enslaver of Eve and her daughter Eliza in St James in 1832.
