Biography

Mary Cydippe Turner, daughter of Thomas and Cydippe Turner, born 21/04/1756 and baptised 10/05/1756 in Vere, Jamaica. Sister of Dutton Smith Turner (q.v.). Her mother Sydippe Smith married Thomas Turner in Clarendon 28/11/1736.

Mary Cydippe Turner married George Brown. They had five children baptised in Clarendon: Girsell (1776), John (1780), Thomas Turner (1781), George (1784) and Cydippe (1785).

George Brown Esquire was buried in the churchyard at Chapelton 21/06/1816 age 68 years.
