Slave-owner on Barbados. With his brother John Williams Worrell Carrington he was shown in the Public Works Loans Board records as purchaser of an unnamed estate in St Thomas St Vincent [sic] from George Moe in 1827: this must have in fact been an estate in Barbados.
Born 09/02/1801 and baptised 29/08/1813 in St Thomas, Barbados, son of Richard Williams Carrington (planter of Barbados whose will was proved in 1817) and his wife Jane nee Worrell. Of St Thomas, Barbados, when he married Christian Wharton Reed in St Philip, 06/12/1832.
A planter, he was the author of 'the only full-length travel account of Canada and the United States ever written by a Barbadian'.
