Cousin and heir-at-law of Hannah Landell (q.v., who had inherited Coldingham estate from her father in 1819). William Landell instituted a Chancery case against his aunt Margaret Landell (q.v.), who was awarded all of the compensation money. Possibly the same William Landell awarded compensation for St Thomas-in-the-East 157.
