James John Fraser, son of Charles Fraser of Williamston, Aberdeenshire, born 1801, died 03/06/1839, unmarried. Became a member of the Society of Writers to the Signet in Edinburgh 29/11/1821. Died in London intestate, personal estate in Scotland valued at £112 8s 6d.
Lived at 57 Albany Street with his sister Jane from 1835 until his death in 1839. Brother of Frederick Saumarez Fraser (q.v). Member of the Maitland Club.
His burial record gives him as a Writer to the Signet, from 57 Albany Street, died in London 03/06/1839, age 38, "Brain fever". The death of James John Fraser was registered in Bloomsbury, Q2 1839.
