Awarded the compensation for one enslaved person in Kingston Jamaica.
- In 1851 Eliza Grant Shaw unmarried aged 38 born Jamaica was living at The Bower Havering Essex as governess to the family of Henry Heyman Toulmin. In 1881 Eliza G. Shaw aged 70 annuitant born Jamaica was a 'visitor' at the house of Emma Pearce in Westbury Wiltshire. The 1871 census shows Eliza Shaw as 'boarder' unmarried aged 53 [sic] governess born Jamaica with the Pearce family at Westbury. An Eliza Shaw born Jamaica aged 40 was living at Tormoham Devon as 'companion' with the family of Ada Lane in 1861. Eliza Grant Shaw spinster of 42 South End Croydon died 24/12/1893, will proved 13/01/1894 effects £328 19s 2d. Her death registration showed her to be 92 [sic] years old.
