Biography

Baptised at Canonbie, Dumfries, Scotland, 21st May 1796. Nephew and heir-at-law of Robert Chisholm (Senior). Inherited Rose Hill in Hanover, Jamaica on the death of Robert in 1830. Mentioned in the 1823 census ("white, age 27") as residing at Batchelor's Hall in Hanover; confirmed in a letter written by Robert Chisholm, to his cousin, Robert in Shield, near, Langholm, in 1812.
