Mary Dehany Mountague, of Bath, awarded the compensation for the Bandon estate in St James Jamaica as executrix of R. Montague [sic]. She was the wife of Ralph Mountague senior and mother of Ralph Mountague jun., who predeceased both her and her husband.
Mary Dehany Bernard, daughter of Charles Bernard and Rebecca James, born 07/05/1762 and baptised 27/06/1762 Hanover Jamaica. In 1841 she was a boarder at South Parade, Bath, age 75, fundholder, born foreign parts. She was of Duke Street, Bath, when she died 20/12/1846. There are two signed corrections in her burial record, one of whom was James F. Bernard (q.v.).
Will of Mary Dehany Mountague, widow of Bristol, written in 1840 and proved 16/01/1847. In the will she made her heir Susanna James Mountague, whom she described as the grand-daughter of her late husband Ralph Mountague.
Ralph Mountague the younger of Bristol was senior partner in the firm of Ralph Mountague junior, and Sons, with William Rhodes Mountague of the City of Bristol and Ralph Bernard Mountague of Montego Bay, when the latter retired from the firm 01/05/1820.
Feb 24 [1824]. At Barbadoes, where he had gone for benefit of his health, [death of] Ralph Mountague junior, esq., merchant; June 10 [1827] in Park Row Bristol aged 84, Ralph Mountague Esq., formerly an eminent West India merchant.
