Biography

Jane Dyer bought two enslaved people in Trelawny between 1820 and 1823.

  1. Probably the Jane Alves of Trelawny, who married William Dyer of Trelawny by licence and in church in Trelawny 26/10/1820, although strictly speaking the enslaved people in 1823 would have been the property of her husband. They were married by Rev. Thomas Alves, curate, brother of Jane.
