Identified in the compensation records as an absentee. Two correspondents have identified this man as Robert Ogle of Eglingham Hall Alnwick.
T71/223 John Watson registered as agent for Robert Ogle, an absentee 1832. Sean Creighton, 'The Ogles', Popular Politics no. 923, http://ppp.nelh.net/TopicDetails.php [accessed 11/04/2017]. According to David Richardson via email 15/10/2010, the Eglingham Census in 1841 and 1851 records Robert Ogle as born about 1782 in Eglingham. In IGI, this Robert Ogle was son of a Robert and Hannah Ogle [the older Robert Ogle possibly the Robert Ogle who was brother of Captain Charles Ogle, employer of Francis Reed, a black man from Virginia, father of Charles Reed baptised 17/4/1778 in St Maurice Church Eglingham]. Northumberland Times 17/07/1841 p. 2: Robert Ogle was renting out Eglingham Hall, Alnwick.
