Biography

Awarded the compensation with John Bloxam Elin (q.v.), apparently as trustees for the McCaw family, for the enslaved people on Mosley or Mosely Hall in St Ann Jamaica, and awarded the compensation with John Wyatt Crane for the enslaved people on Dove Cote Park in St John Jamaica, again as trustees, for Ellen Peak Burrows.

  1. Almost certainly the William Woodrooffe of Lincolns Inn whose partnership with Henry Lewin as Attorneys at Law was dissolved 31/08/1840 and whose will was proved 22/12/1857. William Woodrooffe of St Pancras posted a marriage bond with Clariana Isabella Tindal 20/09/1819. He was buried at All Souls Kensal Green 15/12/1857 aged 62. He had been one of the Commissioners appointed in 1849 to review the division of densley-populated parishes into new eccesiastical units.
