???? - 1843
Mary Cooke was awarded the compensation for two enslaved people in Kingston Jamaica. Based on her identification as in Britain in the compensation award and description as Mary Cooke widow in the 1820 Slave Register, LBS has inferred that she was the Mary Cooke widow of Bethnal Green whose will (made in 1829 with a codicil of 1838, and proved 22/11/1843) shows her leaving her 'negro yard' in Kingston Jamaica together with several monetary legacies.
T71/863 Kingston no. 2208, Mary Cooke Great Britain. The registration was made on her behalf by Robert Smith her attorney in each of the years 1820, 1826 and 1832. Ancestry.com.
