L'Hoste and Kite (both q.v.) were trustees for Robert Darling and his wife Marie Louise née Sabate, the original claimant as guardian of her son Alexander Campbell (illegitimate son of Alexander Campbell senior (q.v.)).
Marie Louise Sabate was listed as proprietor of Turnbull's estate in St Catherine, with 35 enslaved persons and 101 stock, in 1833.
Marie Louise Sabate appeared in a list of Roman Catholic confirmations at Kingston, 07/07/1835.
Marie Louise Sabite "a free quadroon" had two children with William Copeland, baptised in Kingston: William (1808) and Mary Ann (1810). She had a son James Bremand Smith with Jas. F. Smith baptised in Kingston in 1814. Two sons, Donald Benny Campbell and John Campbell with Alexander Campbell, baptised in Kingston in 1823 and 1825. A daughter, Mary Hendrick, with William Hendrick baptised in Kingston in 1827.
