Biography

Probably the Maurice Thomas whose son was a partner in the firm of accountants Thomas & Copley (q.v.). Halliford House was an asylum in the period at the end of Maurice Thomas's life.

  1. Burial of Maurice Thomas of Halliford House aged 84 on 17/01/1863 at St Mary, Sunbury-on-Thames. Letters of administration of personal estate of Maurice Thomas, gentleman widower, late of Halliford House Sunbury Middlesex who died there 13/01/1863, granted to son Maurice Pallmer Thomas of 26 Gresham Street, a London accountant. (A Maurice Thomas, but aged 45, was a patient at an asylum in Nursling Hampshire in 1851).

  2. Living at St Clements Deanes, Westminster, "Gentleman", for the baptism of his two sons in 1822. Living at Kingston, "Gentleman", for the baptism of his daughter in 1826.
