The compensation for three claims on St Kitts was awarded to trustees for Nicholas Clements Henry, including his brother-in-law William Dowding. The property of Nicholas Clements Henry appears to have been placed in trust c. 1828.

  1. Mary Grace Clements, the daughter of Nicholas Clements Henry and his wife Elizabeth, was baptised at Trinity, Palmetto, St Kitts, 10/02/1822.

  2. '[Death] On the 24th ult. [January 1837] after a short illness, Nicholas Clements Henry Esq. late of the island of St Christopher, in the 52nd year of his age.'

  3. 22 June 1866. Letters of Administration (with the Will and Codicil annexed) of the Personal estate and effects of Nicholas Clements Henry formerly of the Island of St Christopher in the West Indies Planter but late of George-street Euston-square in the Parish of St Pancras in the County of Middlesex Gentleman deceased who died 24 January 1837 at George-street aforesaid left unadministered by Elizabeth Henry Widow the Relict one of the Executors named in the said Will were granted at the Principal Registry to Nicholas Clements Henry of Shirley Lodge Coombe-lane Croydon in the County of Surrey Stockbroker the Son one of the Residuary Legatees named in the said Will he having been first sworn. Former Grant Prerogative Court of Canterbury October 1837. Effects under £50 in England.

In 1832 Nicholas Clements Henry registered the enslaved people on Houstons as manager of his own trust estate; although in 1834 he was shown as the 'owner' in the Slave Registration, the compensation for the enslaved people on the estate was awarded to trustees for him.
