Biography

Dottin Maycock, son of James Dottin Maycock (d. 1837) (q.v.) and brother of James Dottin Maycock (c. 1815-1858). Still a minor at the time of compensation, his father claimed under an award in Barbados as his guardian: the compensation was paid to John Howes Waith after James Dottin Maycock's death.

  1. In 1861, Dottin Maycock aged 44 Army Officer (retired) born West Indies was living with his wife Eleanor F.A. Maycock aged 39 born Normanton Hall at Gumley Hall, Gumley, Leicestershire with son Willoughby Robert aged 11. Will of Dottin Maycock formerly of Foxton in the County of Leicester but late of Milverton in the county of Warwick who died 14/12/1879 proved 01/03/1880, effects under £450.
