Husband of Harriet nee Barrit (q.v. under Lady Harriet Hoare). Claimed unsuccessfully with his sister-in-law Eleanor Barrit for three estates in Jamaica: the compensation was paid to Reid Irving, the London mortgagees.
Edward Hoare was Sir Edward Hoare 4th bart. (1801-1882) who married Harriet Barrit[t] 24/4/1824. He was son of Sir Joseph Wallis Hoare, 3rd bart. and Lady Harriet O'Bryen, in the Irish baronetcy, of Annabelle in Cork. Harriet Barritt was the daughter of Thomas Hercy Barritt of Garbrand Hall, Surrey.
Sir Edward Hoare was an Irish absentee landlord. He died late of 68 Dyke Road Brighton in 1882, leaving £6885 10s 7d.
