Counterclaimed for the compensation for the Norwich estate in Portland Jamaica as assignee under the marriage settlement of Charles Forbes and his wife (who have not yet been traced).
Baptism of William Woollams Holland, 25/05/1785 at St Martin, Birmingham, the son of Thomas Holland and Margaret.
Son of Thomas Holland of Birmingham, Warwickshire. Matriculated New College, Oxford, 1800 age 16; gained a BA at Herford College, Oxford, 1806 and MA 1807. Ordained in the Church of England in 1808, appointed vicar of Burpham, Sussex, in 1809 and in 1817, vicar-choral at Chichester Cathedral. The same year he was appointed rector of St Andrew’s and St Martin’s, Chichester. Vicar of Bapchild, Kent, from 1825 until his death 17/01/1855.
Married Jane, the sister of the publisher John Murray (1778-1843) at Bridgnorth, 1809. They had at least one son, John Murray Holland, who was curate in charge of Burpham from 1843-1854.
Living in Cloisters, Chichester Cathedral Close in 1851, age 65, Rector of St Andrew, Chichester, born Birmingham, with his wife Jane age 70 and 3 female servants.
