English clergyman, counterclaiming apparently without success as mortgagee for the compensation for the enslaved people on Union Island, St Vincent.
William Hutcheson son of Robert of Portbury Bristol matric. Brasenose Oxford 02/02/1811 aged 18, BA St Mary Hall 1818 MA 1820, Rector of Utley [sic] 1827 until his death 10th October 1873.
In 1841 William Hutcheson aged 45 'Cl[er]k' was living at Park Lodge Compton Martin, Somerset with Marianna aged 25. In 1851 William Hutcheson aged 58 Rector of Ubley born Portbury Somerset was living at Compton Martin with wife Mariane born Holcombe, Dorset. In 1861 he was shown living with one servant at Chewstoke Somerset, and in 1871 William Hutcheson and Marianne Hutcheson were still at Chewstoke.
