1775 - 1837
Of Bentley Hall Stafford, counterclaimed unsuccessfully for the compensation for the Lear's estate in Barbados for £1000 by Bond and £1500 the arrears of annuity granted 05/06/1802. The compensation was also subject to a separate claim from the trustees of his sister's marriage settlement, but was paid largely to the Daniels mercantile firm.
Edward Anson was the son of George Anson (1731-1789) and Mary Venables-Vernon, and brother of Sir George Anson (one of the claimants as trustees, q.v.), of Thomas Anson 1st Viscount Anson and of Mary Anson, who married Sir Francis Ford 1st bart. Burke's Peerage shows Edward Anson's marriage to Harriott Ramsbottom in 1808 but to date no confirmation of this has been found.
Will of Edward Anson of Bentley Hall Staffordshire proved 07/08/1837.
