1765 - 1844
Trustee of Harriet Elizabeth Gordon (q.v.), and as such counterclaimed with Thomas Gerard Erlington and Alexander Trotter (each of whom q.v.) for the bulk of the compensation for the enslaved people on the Elizabeth Anne estate in British Guiana. The claimants admitted Harriet Elizabeth Gordon's mortgage, and a settlement was clearly reached among claimants, although Lindsay and his co-trustees were not formally awarded any compensation.
