Previous owner of Airy Mount in St Thomas-in-the-Vale in Jamaica, whose residuary devisee Hugh Donald Mackay (q.v.) claimed the compensation. The money was awarded to the counterclaim from 'Aeneas Barkly with the concurrence of H Davidson and Wm Davidson', mortgagees in fee for £12898 11s with interest from 31 May 1835.
Hector McKay was a captain in the Duke of Clarence's Troop, 3rd Battalion, St Thomas-in-the-Vale in 1799.
Hector Mackay of Hampshire and Airy Mount estates St Thomas in the Vale died at his apartments in Adam Street Adelphi Dec 21 1823. Burial of Hector Mackay of Adelphi St Martin in the Fields aged 60 26/12/1823 at St Leonard Streatham.
