Dame Margaret Hay, sister of John Campbell and aunt of John Graham Campbell (q.v.), was a legatee of £500 currency under the will of William Graham (who died in 1790), which she subsequently assigned to her nephew John Graham Campbell . She had been born in Jamaica c. 1757 and left the island with her brother John Campbell and sister Henrietta Campbell in 1790. She was party to the case of Campbell v Sandford, heard on appeal by the House of Lords in 1834.
