Beneficiary (but dying in 1835) of a residual part of the compensation for Plantation Kilcoy in British Guiana after the payment of a legacy to Leonora Lynch, the housekeeper of John Fraser, the deceased owner of Kilcoy and the brother of James Fraser. The money was awarded to James' children, Duncan, James, Isabel and Ellen Fraser and Janet Farquhar.
T71/1253 identifies James Fraser as of Clune in the Aird Invernesshire, d. 8/3/1835 and brother of John Fraser and of Donald Fraser (d. 1837, q.v.).
