Alice Dolge

Awarded a fraction of the compensation for the Woodstock estate in St Ann Jamaica, together with dozens of other legatees of William White, including Susanna Dolge and Sophia Dolge (each of whom q.v.).

1. Probaby but not certainly the Alice Dolge aged 40 living in 1851 at Arbour Square Stepney with her sisters Eliza aged 50 (head of household) and Sophia aged 47, all occupied in 'Needle work' and all born Eastham Essex. However, baptism records show an Alice Dolge daughter of Joachim Dolge ship's agent and Eliz[abeth] christened at St Anne Limehouse in March 1797, which would fit with the parentage of Susanna Dolge: it is possible that this first Alice died young and a later child was named after her.
