Essex farmer and then farm bailiff, awarded a fraction of the compensation for the Woodstock estate in St Ann Jamaica, as one among dozens of legatees of William White.

  1. In 1841 James Pittman aged 40 was living at Pittman's Farm, Romford with wife Sarah also 40; in 1851 he was a farm bailiff on Steward's Farm Romford aged 49 born Barking with wife Sarah aged 50 and niece Ann Baker aged 26. Death of James Whitehead Pittman aged 68 registered Q3 1869 Romford Essex.
