Biography

Awarded a fraction of the compensation for Woodstock estate in St Ann Jamaica as one of dozens of legatees of William White.

  1. Henry Jacobs White was shown as 'now of Australia, late of Shortlands Farm Dorking Surrey' when his son Henry White, a clerk in a stockbroker's firm, applied for freedom of the City of London in 1855. A string of children of Henry Jacobs White and Mary Janet White were baptised between 1825 and 1835 at St Mary Abchurch, All Hallows Staining and Christ Church St Marylebone.
