Biography

With his wife Elizabeth, awarded a fraction of the compensation for the Woodstock estate in St Ann Jamaica, among dozens of other legatees of William White.

  1. In 1851 Henry Saffery aged 79 gentleman born Canterbury Kent 'blind' was living with his wife Elizabeth aged 75 born Barking Essex in the hamlet of Kingsgate, Thanet, Kent. Elizabeth's birthplace ties in with an Essex nexus among many of the other awardees under this extraordinary claim.
