Biography

Awarded part of the compensation with his brother John Carr (q.v.) for the Silver Stream estate in Trinidad, as heirs of John Carr. Alfred and John Carr were the sons of John Carr (d. 1828) and an as yet unidentified woman of colour. Alfred followed his brother to Sierra Leone and was killed there in 1841.
