Anne Stevens, widow, of Kensington, counterclaimed unsuccessfully for Dunbar's estate in Antigua as devisee and residuary legatee of Elizabeth Cosby. The two women were sisters.
Will of Elizabeth Cosby widow [formerly of Edgware Road but now] of Hampton Court [made 10/10/1812] proved 15/03/1826. In the will she left 4 monetary legacies of £500 each to family and friends, and £1000 each to her sister Mary Gunthorpe and her nieces Louisa Ann Byam and Frederica Stevens, Her residuary legatee, including of her [Elizabeth Cosby's] legacy from 'Mr Dunbar', was her sister Anne Stevens.
