Biography

Deceased owner, dying in London in 1830. Joseph Briggs (q.v.) as trustee of John A. Jackman was awarded the compensation for the Mt Prospect estate in Barbados. Joseph Lyder Briggs had married the widow of John Abel Jackman in 1833.

  1. John Abel Jackman, son of Samuel of Speights, Barbados, matriculated Queens College Oxford 03/07/1818 aged 18, Lincolns Inn 1820.

  2. John Abel Jackman aged 30 of Great Coram Street was buried at St George Bloomsbury 18/01/1830. A note says 'Removed to the West Indies Oct [?]/11/30.
