???? - 1832
William Holden of New City Chambers was the Secretary to the West India Merchants between at least 1817 and 1827, and subsequently Secretary of the Exchange Loan Commission at the same address. He does not appear to have been a slave-owner himself but acted as an assignee of 'slave-property.'
London Directory 1818 and P.O. London Directories 1827 and 1832; Will of William Holden Secretary to the Exchequer Bill Loan Office of Bedford Place Russell Square proved 13/03/1832, PROB 11/1797/131.
