'Of Liverpool', counterclaimed for 1/8th of the compensation for Bachelors Adventure under the will of his father, John Hopkinson (q.v.). Hugh Hopkinson's son, Hugh Stephen Hopkinson, born in Marseilles, died in Liverpool aged 2 in 1838, but nothing further has been traced of Hugh Hopkinson.
