Biography
Edward Satchwell Fraser of Reelig, absentee owner of Plantation No. 28 and 23 in Berbice in 1818, and father of James Baillie Fraser (q.v.). Another son, Edward Satchwell Fraser junior was also in Berbice 1803-1812.
- Edward Satchwell Fraser's wife was Jane, daughter of William Fraser of Balnain. The couple had 6 children, including James Baillie Fraser (q.v.) and William Fraser (1784-1835), both in the ODNB, James Baillie as 'traveller and artist' and William as 'administrator in India.'
