1789 - ????
Son of Hugh James (will proved in 1797), and with his brother William John James (q.v.) joint-owner of the apparently heavily-indebted Delve estate and the enslaved people attached to it in Westmoreland. Educated in England (matriculating Christ Church Oxford 29/01/1807 aged 17) but apparently returning to Jamaica. Hugh James the son died c. 1830.
