1753 - 1802
Eldest son of Admiral Arthur Forrest (q.v.) and father of Thomas Forrest (q.v.). Inherited Masemure, Robins River, Ragged Castle (Westmoreland), Vineyard and Pontrepant (St James), Vineyard and Breadnut (St Elizabeth's) from his father. He was an absentee. The estates increasingly fell into debt during the late 18th century and in his will made in 1796 when he was en route to India - in the form of a letter to his mother and sisters - and proved 29/01/1806, he talked of his 'wrecked property.'
Jamaica Almanacs (1811-1820); will of Arthur Forrest of Madras India, PROB 11/1436/215. The probate in 1806 replaced an earlier grant of 1804 to Annike otherwise Anna Forrest the relict.
