Biography

Apart from his part-ownership of the Long Bay and Pool estates, John Thomas Lord also owned in 1817 14 enslaved men, women and children in St Philip.

Will

By his will of 8 April 1818, John Thomas left: to his wife Sarah £60 p.a. annuity for life; £3,000 to each of the daughters on becoming 21 or on marriage (with the survivors getting equal shares in the event of one of them dying before 21). John inherited the half-shares in Long Bay and Pool.
