Biography

Owner of Prospect in Westmoreland, shown as alive 1810-1811 and dead by 1815, probably by 1812. William Haldane Esq., shown as dying in Westmoreland in February 1799, was presumably a relative.

  1. An inventory for William Haldane of Westmoreland drawn up in 1812 valued his coffee estate, equipment and enslaved people at some £12,500 (of which the people accounted for £5775), according to Simon D. Smith.
