At some point between 1823 and 1826, George O'Meally purchased and then immediately manumitted ten enslaved people from Ann O'Meally and Bridget O'Meally. Purchased then manumitted from Miss Ann O'Meally were: Johana Mitchell, age 31, Creole, "Negro"; Elizabeth O'Meally age 14, "Sambo"; Ellen O'Meally, age 12, "Sambo"; Patrick O'Meally, age 8, "Sambo"; and William O'Meally, age 4, "Sambo". Purchased then manumitted from Miss B[ridget] O'Meally were: Letitia Thomas, age 28, "Negro"; Jessy O'Meally, age 8, "Sambo"; George O'Meally, age 7, "Sambo"; James O'Meally, age 5, "Sambo"; and Nancy O'Meally, age 4, "Sambo".
Ann O'Meally was a "free quadroon". Bridget O'Meally has not been traced.
