1766 - 1844
Wedgwood was the oldest son of Josiah and Sarah Wedgwood and lived in Etruria, Staffordshire. He was a partner in the family firm from 1790-93, after which his father bought him a partnership in a banking firm, the London and Middlesex Bank, which later failed, with Gerard Noel Noel, George Templer and Nathaniel Middleton, among others. He returned to the family business again from 1800-11.
