Francis MacNamara owned the Belle Air and Escurial estates in Trinidad. His widow Darcus MacNamara (q.v.), who died in London c.1830, was an annuitant on the Belle Air estate, which MacNamara had assigned to trustees for his son William Bradshaw MacNamara of Sloan Terrace in 1808, subject to the annuity and a mortgage to the Ruckers, merchants of London. The family was presumably connected with Frances Norton MacNamara (q.v.), although the form of connection has not yet been established.
"F.McNamara of Trinidad but residing in London conveyed Belle Air to trustees, subject to a mortgage from Ruckers and rent charge of £300 pa to Darca [sic] McNamara his wife, to son W. B. Macnamara of Sloan Terrace" [1808], Caribbeana Vol. II pp. 287-8; the original deed appears to be the tripartite indenture described in the catalogue of the Francis Russell Hart collection of the Massachusetts Historical Society, http://www.masshist.org/collection-guides/view/fa0161?terms=macnamara [accessed 24/06/2015].
