Alexander Dunkley, about 4 months old, reputed son of Thomas Johnson Dunkley by Marianne Patterson “belonging to William Harriott esq” was baptised in St Elizabeth 02/08/1798. The mother was baptised at the same time together with her child by another man (this latter child was recorded as made free, but no such remark accompanies the Dunkley entry).
Thomas Johnson Dunkley and Mary Laird, widow, both of the parish of St Elizabeth, were married there after banns, 30/09/1802. The record appears in a list of Marriages of Persons Not White.
Thomas Johnson Dunkley was among those assessed for not giving in property returns in St Elizabeth, 1813.
