Biography

The daughter of James Kerr senior and his wife Ann. Mary was married to Colonel Alexander Fotheringham of Powrie (d.1810). She was left Three Mile River sugar plantation in her father's will however he stipulated that it should be sold as it had been so badly damaged in a hurricane. Her sisters Elizabeth and her sister Ann were made the joint owners of Dundee in their father's will.
