1804 - 1837
The Sam. Ullathorne shown in the compensation records with Mary Ullathorne, Philip Grant and Maria Forbes as the owner of Wallibo estate on St Vincent and as having the reversionary interest in a second group of enslaved people on Mt Bentinck was almost certainly Samuel Stephenson Ullathorne, who married Mary Grant at St George Bloomsbury 28/03/1829, when one of the witnesses was Maria Forbes. Samuel Stephenson Ullathorne was a coach axle manufacturer in Margaret Street Cavendish Square: the ownership of enslaved people must have come through his wife's family.
