One of a group of people who inherited Ross's Valley in Port Royal. One of these, Hercules Ross, was the son of Elizabeth Foord "a free quadroon woman" by Hercules Ross Esquire, born 13/09/1779 and baptised in Kingston 07/01/1781. Jane Ross, same parents, was baptised in Kingston 23/11/1778.
