1817 - 1867
Reputed daughter of William Adlam of Upper and Lower Warminster estates in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. Residuary legatee of her father's personal property as tenant in common with her husband William Adlam O'Halloran (also her father's nephew). Apparently her husband also inherited her father's real property in trust although there is no mention of this in his will. Known as Ellen Harper when she died in London aged 50 in 1867.
Ellen O'Halloran aged 36, widow, of 35 West Custer[?] Park Road, married Robert Harper aged 40, bachelor, surgeon, of 7 Westbourne Place, 15/06/1854 at Trinity Church, Paddington. One of the witnesses was Harriett Metcalfe. Ellen Harper aged 42, born Jamaica, of independent means, was a visitor in the household of Mary Metcalfe in St Peter Port, Guernsey, in 1861. In the same household was Harriett M. Metcalfe aged 36.
See separate entry for her father William Adlam.
