Biography

Antiguan slave-owner dying c. 1779, father of Inigo Freeman Thomas (q.v.).

  1. Will of Arthur Freeman of Antigua proved 04/03/1780. In the will he left his wife Margaret four enslaved people - Suckey, Jacob, Mary and Fancy - and his household goods. He left the bulk of his estate in trust to secure £2000 each for his children Margaret, Melusina Warburton, George Thomas and Lydia Frances with the remainder for the benefit of his son Inigo Freeman.
