Accounts Produce were filed for the expenditure of Robert William Tait, a minor, with John McLean as his guardian, in Jamaica for 31/03/1786-24/03/1788.
Marriage: Robert William Tait, Esq. of Jamaica, to Miss Tollemach, eldest daughter of Thomas Tollemach, Esq. of Petersham, Surrey. Robert William Tait, bachelor of this parish, married Eliza Tallemach, spinster of this parish, in Petersham, Surrey, 20/11/1804, witnesses Caroline and Charlotte Tallemach. They had two children: Eliza Adelaide, born 28/11/1805 and baptised 25/12/1805 in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey; and Robert William, born 19/01/1808 and baptised 16/02/1808 in Marylebone.
No children's baptisms have been found for them in Jamaica but Mount Charles was registered to Robert William Tait in the Almanacs from 1809 and he filed slave register entries for Mount Charles in 1817 and 1820. Deceased by 1823.
