Owned of Rural Hill estate in Portland, Jamaica, from at least 1817 to 1826. Deceased by 1829, his executor was Philip Hearn (q.v.).
In the slave registers of 1823 and 1823 Daniel Hearn registered enslaved people on Rural Hill as owner "and in right of wife". This wife may be Elizabeth Hearn. Daniel and Elizabeth Hearn had five children baptised in Portland: Eliza and Eleanor (both 1813), Henry (1814), Ann (1815) and Daniel (1819).
